I initially placed an order through your colleague Syed - he over promised and under delivered. In short he failed to let the courier company know the issues with parking. When the courier company arrived they refused to park without hearing what had been agreed and where to park and simply drove off. I was left there with no knowing what was going on. After an absence of some 40 minutes I got a call and sorted the initial issue out with Emma in your logistics department. It was then some 3 extra hours before my order was delivered.
I then attempted to make a complaint about the initial delivery and found it extremely difficult with so many obstructive staff, attempting to stop me from speaking with someone senior.
It was then apparent that there were difficulties with the washer dryer and I was virtually called incompetent when Indesit were trying to talk me through the issues. An engineer was called out as it was questionable as to what the issue was. The timing of the engineer was not in accordance with my instructions.
Unfortunately the washer dryer was indeed faulty with the issues I had raised, no heat and the dry dropping each time to 3 minutes. I then spoke to your Matthew who was supposed to put through a replacement order, the only problem was he didn't and I waited in again for another half day with no order arriving.
Call backs requested have not been made back on time - the latest one was through your Anthony a manager in your customer service department. How unprofessional that call backs are not made back in the time frames agreed.
I now have another delivery booked for Sunday afternoon. I'm not holding my breath.

Where is my washing machine AO? Website advertised Friday delivery, was however told on phone would be charge for Saturday delivery as no Friday slots. Chose Saturday and paid... its 4pm Sunday and nothing and despite contacting AO for update as tracking status not working on link I'm still in dark as to when its arriving.
This is my second bad experience with AO. Never again AO and likely to be sending back washing machine too.

Ordered a fridge freezer for deliver between 7am and 7pm. I received a text the day of the delivery advising that it would be delivered between 12 and 4pm. 4pm came and no delivery had been made so I rang the number advised and it told me my delivery could be up to 7pm. 7pm and still no delivery. When i finally got through ti customer service I was advised that my order had not gone out and would not be available for another 2 months. A whole day wasted sat in the house waiting for my delivery.

Truly awful service from this company - waited in only to get call from their customer service stating driver turned back because he was worried about an overhanging tree at property despite no such tree existing. Sounds to me like Typical Friday afternoon wanting to finish early excuse. Will never use these people again.

Goods delivered on time, as promised. Well packed and undamaged.

Ordered 2 large appliances, both installed. Engineers kept me updated with time of arrival, adhered to social distancing and wore masks. Both appliances working well. Would highly recommend AO. The only slight criticism I would give was that the engineers had little knowledge of the Haier Washer Dryer with regards to logistic factory settings when attempting to do the initial test. This is a relatively minor issue hence the 4 star rating, however high commendation to AO for sheer professionalism, communication. The engineers were exceptional in general.

Unit seems good, though obviously this is early stages for a fridge freezer. The order process was distictly average, and though the price of the machine was competitive, the various exclusions in the delivery of the new and recovery of the old meant that the extras made a big difference. The bit which was really great was the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery team. It was snowing furiously when they arrived, but they exchanged the new for the old (very large and heavy) fridge freezer in only a few minutes, took away all the packaging and did it in a enthusiastic manner!

I purchased a Smeg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer, model DRF81AUK from AO and am bitterly disappointed with both AO and Smeg.
I can only score the SMEG machine and the customer service from SMEG and AO as a 1 out of 5. The Smeg appliance only lasted 17 months with very light use.
This is the first Smeg appliance I have owned and sadly it will be the last. I had such high hopes but the terrible build quality let it down.
When choosing whether to buy a Smeg, Bosch, Siemens or AEG machine I was swayed by the Smeg name believing that the build quality would be superior to the other brands. I was wrong. Despite it having many similarities to units by Bosch, AEG and Siemens the build quality is inferior. From day 1 the rotary selection dial squeaked. A minor problem but not something I would have expected from a high end brand. After 17 months of very, very light use the machine started displaying electronic faults. It displays faults for equipment which is not even fitted to the machine. Smeg themselves have confirmed in writing that the machine is faulty and not fitted with the supposedly faulty equipment. Ordinarily I would laugh however, it has cost me a shade under £170 to replace the machine with an equivalent Bosch model from AO.
I bought the 8kg model which AO no longer sell. AO would therefore not replace the faulty goods which were still under the manufacturer's warranty without charging an extra £100 for the 9kg model. I didn't want the extra kilogram I simply wanted a machine that works. AO simply did not care. Despite going through 2 customer service representatives, their specialist customer service team and a manager they claim that because the exact model is no longer made there was nothing they can do.
The dryer is one of the new generation heat pump condenser dryers. The moisture from the clothes is extracted from the warm air and the heat is pumped back in to the drum to reduce energy consumption and increase drying performance. Sadly, the machine never reached a temperature above luke warm and even the lightest load of a pair of chinos and a thin hand towel were not dried after 1 hour.
As a Smeg machine I expected this unit to last well over 10 years. Smeg have a good reputation however their admission that the machine is clearly faulty and their offer to merely send an engineer to inspect it rather than replace it is unacceptable for such a premium manufacturer. They trade on their reputation and poor customer service will not be tolerated. It is the easiest way to destroy an entire brand.
Having lasted for less than 18 months my trust in the Smeg brand has been completely destroyed and I shall simply stick with reputable German brands in the future. Sorry Smeg but good looks without decent performance, longevity and durability are worthless.
My Smeg heat pump tumble dryer had substandard performance and lasted for less time than even the cheapest of brands. I cannot recommend Smeg and have bought a Bosch machine instead.
AO you treat customers like dirt and merely seek to extract as much money as possible from them by misinforming them of their consumer rights. You should be ashamed. You have driven yet another customer to John Lewis

the steamer is broken and I need a refund , but you can't email, it doesn't work , don't buy from ao. they just offload you to the manufacturers and they have no responsibility for the product they have sold you as you have no where to go.I tried to write something but it didn't save and put up. Basically your contact is with the seller any 3rd party involvement breeches that contract .

My wife chose this dishwasher and the instructions are very complicated However, it is very quiet and has functions I dont understand but seem good ones. It's good to have various running times

AO fitted our dishwasher in January, it then flooded our house during the night, we still have not had any settlement from them as they are still deciding if it is their fault!!!! They did pay for a local plumber to come out the next day to fix the plumbing issue, so if you want appliances fitted DO NOT use AO's staff to do it.

Fridge freezer was delivered and fitted as arranged but the mess the guys left in the communal corridor wasn’t acceptable if they asked we could have borrowed a vacuum cleaner or we could have cleaned ourselves rather than our neighbours having to tell us of the polystyrene and tape left behind.
